The Girl Scouts of the Jersey Shore raised more than $170 thousand dollars while honoring the personal, professional and community achievements of six local individuals and organizations during its Women of Distinction & Community Partners Gala sponsored by Investors Bank on March 1st at Battleground Country Club in Manalapan.
During the black tie affair, the Girl Scouts of the Jersey Shore, which serves more than 15,000 girls and 6,000 adult volunteers in Monmouth and Ocean counties, paid tribute to Kyra Citron, Charles Lafitte Foundation; Investors Bank, Kevin Cummings; Rhonda Figueroa, New Jersey Resources; Tindra Lanfrank, Civic Volunteer; Gwendolyn Love, Lunch Break; and Susan Tellone-McCoy, Manasquan Board of Education.
Upon receiving their respective awards, each honoree expressed gratitude for the recognition and thanked those whose positive influence helped shape their future. The chosen honorees, all from Monmouth and Ocean counties, have attained remarkable success and made significant contributions to better our community. They exhibit essential Girl Scout leadership qualities making them valuable role models for girls in our area.
The six Women of Distinction & Community Partners Gala honorees join the other 140 Women of Distinction and Award Reception recipients who have been recognized by the Girl Scouts of the Jersey Shore for the past 29 years.
