DWI In Manchester Leads To False Information And Syringes

"Numerous" hypodermic syringes were discovered when a 48-year-old woman was arrested and charged in Manchester for driving while intoxicated, police said.

Jill Dillon of Brick was arrested by Officer Joseph Reilly after she was stopped for failing to maintain her lane of travel on Route 70 and Green Acres Road, police said.

During the motor vehicle stop, Dillon provided Officer Reilly with a fake name in order to avoid a summons for driving while suspended and an outstanding warrant out of Ocean County Sheriff’s Department, police said.

During the investigation, Dillon was found to be in possession of numerous hypodermic syringes, along with an additional syringe that she attempted to hide in the rear of the police car, police said.

Dillon became uncooperative during the booking process and refused to provide her fingerprints. She was issued several traffic summonses and charged with driving while intoxicated, possession of hypodermic syringes, hindering her own apprehension, concealing Evidence and failure to provide fingerprints, police said.

Her local charges were placed on summonses and she was transferred over to the Ocean County Sheriff’s Department. This matter is pending court action.
