Jackson Man Arrested for Synthetic Marijuana Possession in Lakehurst
Thomas Musto IV of Jackson, charged with multiple drug offenses by Lakehurst Police
A motor vehicle arrest on Tuesday evening resulted in the seizure of several bags of synthetic marijuana, according to Lakehurst Police Department Chief Eric Higgins.
“On Tuesday, May 22, at approximately 8:15 p.m., Officer Jeffrey Emmons stopped a 2001 Audi for a brake light violation. The vehicle was being operated by 19 year-old Thomas Musto IV, from Jackson, NJ,” said the chief.
After Musto’s vehicle was pulled over, a search of the car revealed six bags of synthetic marijuana, which were immediately seized.
“Musto was placed under arrest at the scene and transported to the Lakehurst Police Department for processing,” Chief Higgins explained.
Musto was charged with possession of a controlled dangerous substance (synthetic marijuana), possession of a controlled dangerous substance in a motor vehicle, and a maintenance of lamps violation. He was released from custody on his own recognizance, pending an appearance in Ocean County Superior Court, according to the chief.

Way to go LPD. Synthetic Marijuana, isn't that the stuff they were selling in the convenience stores not to long ago? I agree with you ballyjduf, I think the drug problem today among kids is far worse then it was back in the 70's. I think in the 70"s it was the basic, Marijuana, Coke and Acid.... Now its everything from pills to paint cans......

Something needs to be done with all the drunken hunters walking the streets of Lakehurst with long barrels during deer season. Never mind the solicitors. Pretty sad when the LPD is sitting in the middle of the street BSing with someone and a pickup pulls up, Passenger jumps out with a long barrel in one hand and a brew in the other.

Richard Larusso..... Reading your comment, I often think when I drive through Jackson and have watched the town develop over the years... It reminds me a lot of how Marlboro used to be and how that town developed. Yes there are many upscale area's of Jackson. A lot of our friends have purchased homes or have built bigger homes in Jackson. The taxes in Jackson are a little high as they are in Marlboro, but hopefully with Chris Christie's tax plan, taxes really will only cap out at 2% per year. enjoy your night and enjoy your town.....

Geez when did an article @ seizing drugs (which is a good thing) become a platform for political bashing?! Inappropriate on both your parts; take it outside or to court - boring....oh and you dont even know the difference between synthetic marijuana (also known as Spice - Demi
Moore) and incense and bath salt usage....google - http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&client=ms-android-verizon&source=android-home&sky=mrdr&site=webhp&source=hp&q=spice+drug&oq=spice+dr&aq=0&aqi=g5&aql=&gs_l=mobile-gws-hp.1.0.0l5.2227.8667.0.10431.20.13.7.5.10.0.894.5455.0j1j4j2j1j4j1.13.0...0.0.Ak_6HmLPO5Y

bhavaja... Starting to read.... Why the hell would anyone want to ingest bath salt or incense, or even smoke synthetic marijuana...??? Which goes back to what I originally said...... Back in the 70's you had your basic drugs, coke marijuana and acid.... nowadays its incredible to see what people will use to get high.... Thanks for the link again.
