Jackson Man Faces Multiple Drug Charges, Bail Set at $200K
Ocean County Prosecutor's Office Special Operations Group and Jackson police made arrest last week
A Jackson man is being held on a total of $200,000 bail for multiple charges that he allegedly distributed and possessed drugs, the Ocean County Prosecutor's Office announced Monday.
Detectives from the Ocean County Prosecutor's Office Special Operations Group and Jackson police executed a search warrant at 32-year-old James Streeter's Willow Point Drive home and two of his cars — a 2002 Cadillac Deville and a 2000 Acura RL — on Sept. 14, according to a news release from the prosecutor's office.
Authorities said that about 60 grams of cocaine, 800 bags of heroin, $8,500 in cash and a digital scale were recovered during the search.
Streeter was charged with possession of cocaine, possession of over a half ounce of cocaine with the intent to distribute and possession of heroin over one-half ounce with intent to distribute. Streeter's bail for those charges was set by Superior Court Judge Francis R. Hodgson at $125,000, no 10 percent option, according to the release.
An additional distribution of heroin charge netted Streeter another $75,000, no 10 percent option in bail, according to the release.
As of Monday afternoon, Streeter has not posted bail, according to the Ocean County Department of Corrections.
