Very disappointed that we can't support fireworks. Towns around have found ways to fund this. Next election I will remember this.

The saddest part was that, unless I missed something, there was no official announcement of the cancellation? I have a group of people over excited for the fireworks only to find out they were cancelled an hour before we were going to go to the lake.

We were at the lake and there was NO sign or announcement. A nice family told us someone told them they were canceled. I had two very disappointed little ones. Had there been a sign when we got to the "celebration" we would have went straight home! Anyone hear a reason the fireworks were canceled?

I called the police dept when I first heard through talk that they were cancelled, the man I spoke with informed me that it was "Budget reasons...they couldn't afford it." Sounded odd to me that they didn't realize they couldn't afford it until basically the last minute...we were all very disappointed.

They took away Manchester Day, then they took away Fall Festival, now the fireworks and without any notice! My kids were very disappointed, would have spent my evening somewhere else... Thanks mayor!
