Late Night Accident Sends One to Hospital

Parkway crash results in one motorist being sent to Neptune hospital

A car accident involving two motorists late last night on the Garden State Parkway has sent one of them to Jersey Shore University Medical Center, according to authorities.

At approximately 12:30 a.m., a black BMW being driven by Geraldine Hennicke was involved in a collision with a bronze Chevrolet being driven by Omar Randolph, on the southbound side of the Garden State Parkway at mile marker 91.5, said Sgt. Brian Polite, a public information officer for the New Jersey State Police.

“At that time, the vehicle being driven by Ms. Hennicke went to the left shoulder of the road, and no injuries were sustained by her, or her two passengers, Bridget Hennicke and Miranda Malaguias,” Polite explained.

After the collision, the vehicle being driven by Randolph veered sharply past the right shoulder and down a wooded embankment, according to Polite. At that moment, Randolph was ejected from his vehicle.

“Toms River EMS responded to the scene and again, found no injuries to those in the BMW. They found Mr. Randolph breathing but unconscious, and with external injuries. He was then transported by the EMS to Jersey Shore University Medical Center in Neptune,” said Polite.

Responding officers from the New Jersey State Police’s Holmdel Station were also on scene at the crash.

I drive for living whenever I see a BMW around me I leave extra space. They seem to be the worst of the worst on our roads. I cant figure why posssibly they suffer from I think who I am syndrome.

Do you know how to read? The BMW stopped in the shoulder of the road. The chevy continued along the shoulder and down an embankment. Take a guess who was speeding?

If he'd had his SEATBELT on, Mr. Randolph would not have been ejected, and would not have been so badly injured. So needlessly tragic for him and his whole family. For the love of god, please buckle up, people!

Ask someone who doesn't wear a seatbelt, if they somehow knew they were going to be involved in a bad accident, would they put it on beforehand? They'll say yes and then you can be the genius that informs them that they'll never know when an accident will happen, so buckle up stupid.

that stretch of the parkway, between exits 98 and 90,northbound or southbound, is like the bermuda triangle of roads.

Ages and home towns? Any tickets issued? Police reports should have that info.

If they are young adults, could it be possible that someone was under the influence of something?

hey, "Peopleannoyme", whoever said seatbelts "ALWAYS" save lives??? They are designed for injury avoidance, which may or may not save a life. Just like motorcycle helmets, anti-lock brakes, traction control, etc etc. Study a bit before you make such a blatant statement.

it is true, they do not always save lives. But they will prevent you from being ejected from your car, and hopefully serious head injuries. A seatbelt probably saved my life, however my collarbone wasn't so lucky.
