In advance of Hurricane Sandy, education administrators in Manchester and Lakehurst have decided to cancel classes.

All Manchester schools will be closed on Monday and Tuesday, according to an announcement posted to the district website.

Lakehurst Elementary School will be closed on Monday and Tuesday, Superintendent of Schools Jill Dobrowansky. It was first announced that the school would only be closed on Monday.

"District administration will continue to monitor the weather and make further determinations as necessary," she said. 

Ocean County College, Georgian Court University, Brookdale Community College and Monmouth University all have announced that they will be closed on Monday and Tuesday.
