St. John's Church in Lakehurst was the scene of a motor vehicle accident earlier this morning.

A car apparently crashed into a church building, a Lakehurst police officer confirmed.

Unconfirmed reports state that the impact caused structural damage to the parish center, located at 619 Chestnut Street.

The accident occurred at approximately 10:30 a.m.

No further information was availalbe. It was unknown if there were any injuries.
