Police Blotter: Drug, DWI, Assault Charges Issued
Local law enforcement activity for the end of July
Manchester police last week issued drug possession charges to a Toms River man, according to information released by the department.
Patrolman Joseph Fastige charged 20-year-old Dayzjuwon N. Johnson with possession of a controlled dangerous substance on Route 37 near West Main Street on Sunday, July 22, according to Lt. Vincent Manco. Johnson was released by police with a summons.
Charged on another offense by Fastige was Nicholas S. Mayer, 18, also of Toms River. Police said that he provided them with false information during that incident. Mayer was released with a summons, Manco said.

Wednesday, July 25
Police charged 38-year-old Brian S. Nasofer of Whiting with sexual assault. Detective Adam Emmons issued the charge at Manchester Police Department headquarters on Colonial Drive and taken to the Ocean County Jail in Toms River.
Saturday, July 28
Adam A. Heck, 19, of Toms River was charged with driving while intoxicated on Broadway Boulevard by Patrolman Joseph Fastige. Heck was released with a summons, according to Manco.
Brick resident Steven T. Lewis, 43, was charged with theft on Eleanor Road by Patrolman Richard Conklin. Police released Lewis with a summons, Manco said.
Heather N. Macfarlane, 21, of Lakehurst, was charged with disorderly conduct in the township's Pine Lake Park section by Patrolman Robert Sharry. Manco said that Macfarlane was released with a summons.
Whiting resident Eric M. O'Donnel, 21, was charged with aggravated assault in Pine Lake Park Patrolman Antonio Ellis. O'Donnel was released after posting bail.
