Police Blotter: 6 Drug Possession Charges Issued Last Week

Recent law enforcement activity reported by the Manchester Police Department

Officers from the Manchester Police Department issued drug possession charges to six Ocean County residents last week, including three township residents, according to information released by Capt. Lisa Parker.

Of those charges, three came on Monday, Aug. 20, on Fifth Avenue in the township's Pine Lake Park section. Manchester residents Jessica E. McKay, 18, and Marcia K. Payton, 19, along with Lakehurst resident James W. Keith III, 37, were all charged with the offense by Patrolman Steven Wendruff, according to Parker.

The trio were released with summonses, the captain said.

A day prior on Sunday, Aug. 19, 24-year-old township man Timothy J. Fircha was charged with drug possession on Monroe Avenue by Patrolman David Fusaro. Fircha was taken to the Ocean County Jail in Toms River, according to Parker.

Later in the week, Brick resident Michael D. Fernandez, 21, was charged with drug possession in Pine Acres Manor by Patrolman Michael Terranova on Friday, Aug. 24. He was released with a summons, Parker said.

To end the weekend, a drug possession charge was issued to Robert J. Frandano Jr., 18, of Toms River, on Burnside Avenue by Patrolman Joseph Fastige. Parker said that Frandano was released with a summons.

Police also issued a DWI charged to 32-year-old Toms River resident Maris D. Rosario on Saturday, Aug. 25, on Route 70 near Green Acres. Rosario was released with a summons issued by Patrolman Jesse Hoydis, Parker said.

The above charges issued by police are accusations and are not an indication of guilt.
