Police Blotter: Drug, Theft and Burglary Charges Reported
Local police activity between April 29 and May 6
Officers from the Manchester Police Department issued disorderly conduct, theft, burglary and drug possession charges last week, according to information released by Capt. Lisa Parker.
Sunday, April 29
Lisa Cottrell, 48, of Manchester, was charged with disorderly conduct at Pine Acres Manor by Patrolman Anthony Iliadis. Cottrell was released on a summons, Parker said.
Monday, April 30
Two men, Ocean, Monmouth, resident Jorge A. Nieto, 24, and Jesse J. Hardwick, 40, of Asbury Park, were charged with theft near Constitution and Columbus Boulevards by Patrolman Arthur Cronk. Both men were released on summonses, according to Parker.
Wednesday, May 2
Manchester resident Ernest Borges, 22, was charged with burglary and theft on Columbine Avenue by Detective Craig Beaulieu. Police took Borges to the Ocean County Jail in Toms River.
Friday, May 4
Sonya A. McSulla, 25, of Manchester, was charged with drug possession and possession of drug paraphernalia at the Surf and Stream campground along Route 571 by Patrolman Thomas O'Hare. Parker said that McSulla was taken to the Ocean County Jail in Toms River.
Sunday, May 6
Manchester resident Darius D. Smith, 21, was charged with disorderly conduct on Savannah Avenue by Patrolman Adam Guker. Smith was released after posting bail, Parker said.
The above charges are not an indication of guilt.
