MANCHESTER - The township and its neighboring borough of Lakehurst were largely spared of the calamities suffered by towns closer to the shore.

But the effects of what could be the biggest story of our lives still linger.

We are looking for people to provide a service, and inform the readers about the effects of the first hurricane - or "cyclone" - to directly strike the Jersey Shore in recorded history. If you have any photos of what happened in Manchester and Lakehurst, please upload them here.
