Ship Bottom Beach: 'Gateway to LBI'

Beach badges required starting June 18

Ship Bottom is known as the “Gateway to Long Beach Island” because of the bridge linking the borough to the mainland.

With a total area of 1 square mile, Ship Bottom is home to just more than 1,000 people. In addition to its beaches, Ship Bottom has a Waterfront Park, several recreational parks, fishing and crabbing pier, and Sunset Point, a local garden with a playground, restrooms, a gazebo and a beach area.

The borough also has amusements, antique and gift shops, art galleries and fine dining.
