Featured Pets: Cages of Kitties

Check the media box for photos and descriptions of some of the pets available at the Ocean County Animal Facility. These pets can be adopted at:

The Ocean County Animal Facility:
615 Fremont Ave. (off of Route 547)
Jackson, NJ 08527
Phone: 732-657-8086

Open Seven Days a Week - 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.
Wednesday evening until 6:30 p.m.

We are closed on holidays.

All of the animals adopted are examined by the facility's veterinarian and receive a rabies shot (if old enough), a distemper shot, a worming/heartworm screening (for dogs), spay or neuter and, in most cases, are microchipped. We have volunteers at the shelter seven days a week ready to help you find the perfect match for your family.

Adoption Fees:

Dogs: $60
Cats: $55

For other adoption options, check out the Volunteer Auxiliary for Animal Shelters, Inc. Facebook Album: Cats and Kittens Currently In Foster Homes

These cats and kittens have been rescued from the shelter and put into loving foster homes.

When ready for adoption they will visit PetSmart Toms River, weekends, Saturday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Unlike our permanent PetSmart kitties, these guys only stay for the weekend in our lovely "freestander" and then go back home with their foster families for the week. If interested in adopting any of these cats please email volaux@yahoo.com.

My fiancee and I adopted two of our cats from OCAF. Linus is the biggest attention hog ever. If only we could give them all a home.

great work phyllis . so many shelters are overcrowded with great pets. each one just needs that one chance to be brought home.

I have enjoyed the love and companionship of two kitties from this grand organization. Frankly, it scares me to visit an animal shelter.

I want to take them all home.

I would have never have thought of myself as a cat person until I adopted one.
Cats are great companions, and they're easy.

@Condor, my last cat lived to almost 17, and the one i have now just turned 17. Wouldn't trade them for anything and very easy to take care of, If you have your cat spayed or neutered they will have way less health problems and most likely live much longer. That has been my experience....
