We are closed on holidays.
All of the animals adopted are examined by the facility's veterinarian and receive a rabies shot (if old enough), a distemper shot, a worming/heartworm screening (for dogs), spay or neuter and, in most cases, are microchipped. We have volunteers at the shelter 7 days a week ready to help you find the perfect match for your family.
Adoption Fees:
Dogs: $60
Cats: $55

These cats and kittens have been rescued from the shelter and put into loving foster homes.
When ready for adoption they will visit PetSmart Toms River, weekends, Saturday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Unlike our permanent PetSmart kitties, these guys only stay for the weekend in our lovely "freestander" and then go back home with their foster families for the week. keep up the good work phyllis. $55 and $60 are great prices to have shots and micro chipped . the best dogs and cats come from shelters.

While driving away from a filling station in Maryland last week I noticed a lifeless kitten curled on the pavement. "What would become of it," I pondered. It was a true infant probably astray from its' litter mates. It was hungry and, above all, frightened meowing with a wail that broke my heart.
Enter a wonderful young woman. The kitten won her heart and she adopted it on the spot. I wept as I drove away praising God that this young person had walked across a kitten's path on that day.
If only we could wave a wand and save them all.

amen to that. one can only hope for every slug out there that abuses or neglects animals (like the person who threw a 5 week old kitten out of a car window on the verranzano bridge last week)there are decent people . good people like the woman you saw. p.s the kitten on the bridge was lucky an animal control officer was driving behind the car and saved it
