The apartments were first presented to the taxpayers as a place for veterans to have affordableRead Morehous ing. It is apparent now that that was never the intention. They will probably make a few apartments available to the vets but the rest will go to Section 8. I feel the people of Manchester agreed to supply housing for disabled or homeless veterans. We owe them that! We already supply the less fortunate with low income housing in our town. The tax payers will feel a huge burden when these apartments are filled with minors who will overfill our already full schools!

One more thing to help forward the collapse of Manchester. Out of control spending by the Board ofRead MoreE ducation, forclosures, illegal activity, bloated salaries and soon another political disaster with an economic corridor. I don't necessarily think any town is better off, I just pay taxes in this one.

I believe the Board of Ed has done a great job keeping cost under control with out cutting programs Read Morefor the kids this is a tough task when 70% seniors and 30% younger families. We have a good school system with employees WHO CARE.

Sadly, there is quite a bit of misleading information going around. The State did NOT approve theRead Morec oin toss being conducted on Route 70. The Boro DID recommend to the Fire Co several alternate sites that would be far safer. I know this for a fact because I am on the Public Safety Committee. I saw the denial from the state, and was part of the discussions for other sites for the coin toss. I cannot tell you why the Fire Co chose not to utilize them. You would have to ask them that question. The Boro supports financially and enthusiastically the Lakehurst Fire Co, and hope this corrects the wrong information.

Good luck Mr.Palmer, its going to be a big challenge for you but someone has to try. As you knowRead MoreMan chester is 70% seniors and 30% non-seniors with 10% of the non-seniors under voting age. You'll need to open up (talk in person) and meet the seniors more then the non-seniors to have any chance. Do the town hall stuff at every senior village more then once if possible. Don't do social media campaigning too much, its better in person plus most seniors don't use media devices. Hit those shopping centers everyday too. PS ..you got my vote!

I dont plan on voting for anyone as of now? But I have heard of several people that will be tryingRead Moret o run. I would like to hear what any of them stand for and what they think needs to change before I vote. not just vote because I know someone? I hope someone new gets in there. But don't think that will lower your tax bill with more services comes more bills? I hope whoever gets in starts taxing that landfill and the big bus. that has moved into town.
Scott Neuman July 16, 2014 at 08:13 AM

I wouldn't be concerned. The biggest criminals of all are sitting in Congress and on the boards of Read Morethe big banks and other corporations.

Amen! Ultraconservative Smith has gotten fat at the public trough, doing the bidding of right-wing Read Morefat-cat political campaign donors who oppose equal rights for women and so many other issues that the people want.

How do you deal with drones blowing up innocents in other countries when we haven't declared war on Read Morethem by an act of Congress? Why aren't we trying criminals (terrorists in Guantanamo) as per our Constitution. We're on a slippery sloop. We really need Congressmen and Senators that will stand up for what is right rather then bending over and accepting what is given them in the rear. http://www.ScottNeumanforCongress.com in Manchester and the rest of the 4th district gives you a person that will stand up for our district. http://www.DRParty.org if you want more men and women that are standing up for what is right. Remember. What is right never changes, Who is wrong can be changed.
Scott Neuman June 24, 2014 at 11:14 PM
Special times? You ignore the Constitution and the Bill of Rights and the 27 amendments at your own Read Morerisk. Bet you didn't know the Bill of Rights had 12 amendments, not 10? And that all are now ratified and need to be followed? Good luck with anyone currently in Congress standing up for the True First Amendment. http://www.boldtruth.com for a quick education on our Bill of Rights.
