The OCVTS Performing Arts Academy will host a two week Performing Arts Workshop (July 9-12,16-19), 10 a.m. - 3 p.m., held at the OCVTS Lakehurst Center. The workshop provides an opportunity for aspiring young artists to strengthen their skills in dance, voice or acting. Students will be exposed to all disciplines with time allotted for more intensive training in one specialty area. This competitive program offers Level 1 (for 6-8 grades) and Level 2 (for 9-12 grades). Go to www.ocvts.org for more information and registration.

The Ocean County Vocational Technical School is a school in Toms River that prepares students for job placement and further education. The school was founded in 1959 with a Practical Nursing Program. Since its establishment, over 126,722 members of the community have attended. The school has Middle States Accreditation, Council on Occupational Education, and Commission of International and Trans-Regional Accreditation. Students can choose from 30 career programs and two full-time high school career academics.
