5K-9/Bark in the Park Returns to Harry Wright Lake May 18th

The 5K-9/Bark in the Park event is a 5K, 1 Mile Health Walk/Run and Kiddie Dash on May 18th at Harry Wright Lake in Manchester for dog lovers and their pets. All of the proceeds go directly to American Rescue Dog and the Lakehurst-Manchester Rotary Club. This event is DOG-FRIENDLY, so runners and walkers may participate with their dogs. Enjoy a post-race awards ceremony with team and individual plaques to top finishers. After the 5K-9 event, don't miss out on Bark in the Park. Bark in the Park is a fundraising event featuring local vendors, dog games and activities, training demos and more.

"This is our second annual 5K-9 race and we are once again anticipating a great turnout," said Joe Jennings, American Rescue Dog Founder. "Not only is it important for humans to exercise and stay fit, but it is important for our dogs as well." American Rescue Dog rescues, rehabilitates and re-homes puppies and dogs from shelters, rescue groups, backyard breeders, puppy mills and owners that can no longer care for their pets.

The 1 mile race begins at 9:00 a.m. and the 5K begins at 9:30 a.m. The Kiddie Dash is immediately following the 5K. To register for the race or for more information, please visit the website at www.americanrescuedog.com.
