It's looking like another gloomy day, as the National Weather Center has predicted cloudy skies, a high of 48 degrees and rain before 2 p.m.

1. Manchester Middle School will stage "Beauty and the Beast" at 7 p.m. at Manchester High School's auditorium. Tickets, which go on sale before the performance at 6:30 p.m., are $5 for adults and $3.50 for children, students and seniors. The school will also host a Saturday performance. 

2. The Fleet Reserve of Lakehurst has Karaoke from 8 p.m. to 1 a.m. with DJ Davy. The reserve will be open from 3 p.m. to 2 a.m.

3. Georgian Court University in Lakewood will host Dinner and an Artist: Raphael at 6:30 p.m. The program includes a multi-course Italian dinner and multimedia lecture. Call 732-987-2232 for pricing and ticket information.

4. The Ocean County Mentoring Program would like adult volunteers to work with boys and girls ages 8 to 11. The program coordinator will be available to discuss the details at the County Connection in the Ocean County Mall from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.

5. The Ocean County College Theatre Company presents "The Laramie Project" at 7:30 p.m. More information about the play, directed by Arthur Waldman, is available by calling 732-255-0500.
