Five things to know today

It seems as though we're in for another warm day, as the National Weather Service expects sunny skies and a high nearing 60 degrees.

Here are today's local happenings:

1. The Lakehurst Borough Council will meet at 7:30 p.m. at the community center on Center Street. On the agenda is a public hearing of the 2011-12 municipal budget.

2. Manchester's branch of the Ocean County Library will host its monthly Book Chat from 2:30 p.m. to 4 p.m. For more information, call 732-657-7600.

4. The Hawks baseball and softball teams are in action today as both will will face Marlboro High at 10 a.m.
