Below are today's local happenings:

1. . Polls are open from 2:30 p.m. to 9 p.m. Three Manchester Board of Education candidates are running for as many open seats and the 2011-12 school budget is up for approval.

2. The Ocean County Artists' Guild in Island Heights will host an art demonstration from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. Patty Burton will show attendees Pysanky, the Ukrainian art of egg painting. Call 732-270-3111 for more information.

3. Toddler Time at Manchester's branch of the Ocean County Library will be at 9:30 a.m. and 10:30 a.m. Children ages 1-3 can listen to stories, play and more.

4. Also at the library, "The King's Speech" will be shown at 2 p.m. and 6 p.m. as part of the Feature Film Festival. The R-rated film tells the story of King George VI. Call 732-657-7600 for more information.
