Aug. 17: Salsa Making Class, BlueClaws Action and Free Film Screening

Five things to know in and around Manchester today

After a few days of clouds, the National Weather Service expects sunny skies and a high of 85 degrees.

Below are some of today's local events:

1. A salsa making class for children in grades 7-12 will be held at 6:30 p.m. at of the Ocean County Library.

2. The library will screen "How I Ended This Summer" as part of its Foreign Film Festival at 2 p.m. and 6 p.m. The Russian production runs 130 minutes.

3. The County Connection today will offer assistance with consumer issues. An Ocean County Consumer Affairs Department representative will help get answers from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the connection. Call 732-288-7777 for more information.

4. The BlueClaws ill take on the Delmarva Shorebirds at 7:05 p.m. at FirstEnergy Park in Lakewood. It's Dollar Dog Wednesday. Call 732-901-7000 for tickets.
