1. The Manchester Town Council is meeting tonight at 6 p.m. at the municipal complex, 1 Colonial Dr. Check out the agenda before heading over.

3. If you want a Valentine activity for the kids, head over to the Manchester Branch of the Ocean County Library. The library invites children ages 2-5 to come in for their 10:30 a.m. Valentine Extravaganza. Call 732-657-7600 or register online

4. Fees are being waived this week for adoptions at Ocean County Animal Shelters. Senior pets and pets that have been homeless since before last Christmas are free to take home now through Feb. 20. Usual fees are $60 for a dog and $55 for a cat. Call 732-657-8086 for more information.

5. The Ocean County Connection wants to help those out of a job find work. From 5:30 to 9:30 p.m., Workforce New Jersey's Christine Karaska will be at the Connection's Ocean County Mall office with tips on how to land the right job. Bring your resume to the Connection's office located near JC Penny's.
