Feb. 24: Musicals, Board of Adjustment and Art

Five things to keep in mind today

Today, we'll see a high of 45 degrees and a chance of rain after 1 p.m., according to the National Weather Service. Expect rain and a low of about 38 degrees tonight. 

Here are some things going on around town today:

1. The Manchester Board of Adjustment is scheduled to meet at 7 p.m. in the municipal complex, 1 Colonial Dr.

2. Tickets are now on sale for the Manchester Township High School production of "Hair Spray." Tickets are available for $8 by phone by calling 732-408-2546 and at the door on the day of performances on March 11 and 12, if still available, for $10. Also, stop by the school lobby on  from 2:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. to purchase tickets on March 1 and March 7. 

3. The senior citizen matinee performance of the Ocean County Vocational Technical School Performing Arts Academy's is at 4 p.m. Call the Strand Center for the Performing Arts box office, 732-367-7789, for tickets to the Lakewood show.

4. The Manchester Branch of the Ocean County Library invites children ages 9-13 to paint their own African Batik art. The Beautiful Batiks program is at 6:30 p.m. and participants can call ahead at 732-657-7600 or register online.

5. The Georgian Court University Department of Religious Studies, Theology and Philosophy will screen "Little Town of Bethlehem" at 7 p.m. in the Little Theatre. The documentary shows the lives of three men of varying faiths in Israel and Palestine. Call 732-987-2232 for more information.
