Five things to know on Wednesday: Snow edition

Refer to these web resources during the snow

When snow starts to stick, check out these online resources for updated info:

1. The National Weather Service provides updates on current conditions and gives warnings about driving during snowy weather. The Ocean County update is especially useful for our area.

2. Check on road conditions before heading out at NJ511.org and the NJ Turnpike Authority. These websites provide regular updates of state road conditions, including warnings when snow removal equipment is being used. Users also can sign up for text traffic alerts online.

4. Travelers can check the NJ Transit website for bus and train weather advisories, including changes to schedules. System-wide cross-honoring is in effect through Wednesday night. Newark Airport also provides updates on air travel delays.
