Five things to know in and around Manchester today

Looks like another sunny and hot day, as the National Weather Service is calling for sunny skies and a high near 83 degrees. 

Check out some of today's local happenings:

1. The Manchester Township Council will meet for its annual at 9 a.m. at the  on Colonial Drive.

2. The Ocean County Mentoring Program would like adult volunteers to work with boys and girls ages 8 to 11. The program coordinator will be available to discuss the details at the County Connection in the Ocean County Mall from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.

3. The 63rd Army Band will perform at the Ocean County Library's Toms River branch on Washington Street at 7:30 p.m. Guests are requested to bring blankets and lawn chairs.

4. Dawn Keen from the Center for Health and Healing will hold Beach Yoga at the Hiering Avenue beach area in Seaside Heights beginning at 8 a.m. Call 732-505-8282 for more information.
