July 13: Cinderella Visit, Free Movie Screening and Classic Cars

Five things going on in and around Manchester today

Though it will be cooler than yesterday's nearly 100 degree heat, the National Weather Service nonetheless expects a sunny day with a high nearing 91 degrees.

Here's what's happening today:

1. Cinderella will be at  at 10:30 a.m. to read stories to children ages 3-7. Call 732-657-7600 for more information.

2. The film "No Strings Attached" will be screened at 2 p.m. and 6 p.m., also at the . The R-rated movie stars Natalie Portman.

3. A fireworks display at the Seaside Heights boardwalk will begin at 9:30 p.m. For more information, call 800-732-7467.

4. Classic cars will hit the streets of Toms River from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. for Cruisin' Downtown on Washington Street. Entertainment, vendors and more will be on-hand.

5. The Robert J. Novins Planetarium has three shows: "Kaluoka'hina, the Enchanted Reef" at 10:30 a.m., "Wonders of the Summer Sky" at 1 p.m. and "Touching the Edge of the Universe" at 2:30 p.m. Tickets are $10 for adults, $8 for seniors and $7 for children 12 and under and OCC students.
