June 11: Lakehurst Bike Rodeo, "Dem Guyz" Performance and BlueClaws Autograph Night

Five things to know today

According to the National Weather Service, today should be cloudy with the threat of showers and a possible thunderstorm. The high should reach the mid-70s.

Here are some of today's local events.

1. "Dem Guyz" will perform at from 1 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. The rhythm and blues band will play as the library honors country music. Call 732-657-7600 for more information.

2. The  will hold its 18th Annual Bike Rodeo at Lake Horicon Park for children in grades pre-K through eighth from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m. Safety inspections, free food and an obstacle course will be on-hand. Helmets are required.

3. The BlueClaws will take on the West Virginia Power at 7:05 p.m. at FirstEnergy Park in Lakewood. Iron Sheil and Nickolai Volkoff will sign autographs. Call 732-901-7000 for ticket information

4. LBIFest will be held at South Long Beach Boulevard and 68th Street in Beach Haven from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. There will be kids amusements, an inflatable, free buses from Barnegat Light to Holgate and live bands. Proceeds benefit the Southern Ocean Medical Center New Emergency Department. For more information, call 609-492-2323.

5. The Jersey Coast Anglers Fluke Tournament is being held statewide in 12 ports from Cape to Fortesque, including the Barnegat Bay on Long Beach Island. The event starts at daybreak and more information is available online.
