June 12: Big Bird's Sky Adventure, Fine Arts Festival and BlueClaws Compete

Five things to know today

1. The Robert J. Novins Planetarium has a few shows today: "One World, One Sky: Big Bird's Adventure" at 11:30 a.m., "Exploring the Spring Sky" at 1 p.m. and "Bad Astronomy: Myths and Misconceptions" at 2:30 p.m. Tickets are $10 for adults, $8 for seniors and $7 for children 12 and under and OCC students. 2. The BlueClaws will host their third annual nut-free game as they take on the Hagerstown Suns at 4:05 p.m. A food allergy and anaphylaxis network walk is scheduled for before the game. For more information, call 908-675-0879.

3. The Vintage Automobile Museum is holding an Antique Car Show at the Jackson Acres Adult Community in Jackson from 9 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. For more information call 732-600-5103.

4. The Jersey Shore Fine Ars Festival will be held at the Ethel Jacobson Field in Ship Bottom from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. There will be original paintings, sculpture, jewelry, glass, pottery, wood, photography, and textiles. Admission is free. For more information, call 631-421-1590.

5. "H.M.S Pinafore, or The Lass that Loved a Sailor" will be presented at Ocean County College's Arts and Community Center Theatre at 2 p.m. Call 732-255-0500 for ticket information.
