Five things happening in and around Manchester today

1. The Brain Joggers class will meet from 2 p.m. to 3 p.m., also at the library. Register online or call 732-657-7600 for more information about the interactive game and puzzle class.

2. If your child needs a bit of help with his or her reading skills, the "Read to the Dogs" program at  may help. Beginner readers can hone their reading skills as Mark, a certified therapy Golden , listens patiently from 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. Registration for a 15 minute slot is required by calling 732-657-7600.

3. From 5:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m., Workforce New Jersey's Christine Karaskawill be at the County Connection's Ocean County Mall office with tips on how to land the right job. Bring your resume to the Connection's office located near JC Penny's. Call 732-288-7777 for more information.

4. The Island Heights Cultural and Heritage Association will screen the musical documentary, "The Greatest Musical Wonder in the World,” at the Island Heights Methodist Church at 7 p.m. More information is available by calling 732-506-9375.

5. Fantasy Island Amusement Park in Beach Haven will present "The Art of Magic" at 7:30 p.m., 8:30 p.m. and 9:30 p.m. For more information call 609-492-4000.
