June 29: Free Movie Screening, Farmers Market and Fireworks

Five things going on in and around Manchester today

Today should be mostly sunny, with a high near 85 degrees, according to the National Weather Service.

Below are some of today's local events:

1. As part of its Feature Film Festival,  will screen "Rabbit Hole" at 2 p.m. and 6 p.m. The PG-13-rated drama centers on a couple who take different paths while dealing with the death of their child.

 2. The downtown Toms River Farmers Market in Huddy Park will be open from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.

3. The Ocean County Office of Senior Services will offer counselor training sessions for its State Health Insurance Assistance Programs from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. The department is looking for volunteers to assist senior citizens with questions regarding insurance issues. The free training will be held at the Ocean County Fire and First Aid Training Center in Waretown. Call 732-929-2091 for more information.

4. There is a concert at Veterans Bicentennial Park in Beach Haven from 7:30 p.m. to 9 p.m. Fireworks will follow the performance. More information is available by calling 609-492-2253.

5. A fireworks display at the Seaside Heights boardwalk will begin at 9:30 p.m. For more information, call 800-732-7467.
