Five things to know today

Looks like today should be a pleasant day for heading outside, as the National Weather Service is expecting sunny skies with a high of 77 degrees.

Below are some of today's local happenings:

1. Crestwood Village VI will hold a neighborhood garage sale from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

2. Cedar Glen West will hold a flea market with about 50 vendors from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. at 1 Bluejay St.

3. Jenkinson’s Aquarium in Point Pleasant is hosting “1, 2, 3 and the Seas: World Oceans Day" from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

4. The Jersey Shore Wine Festival will be held from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m. at FirstEnergy Park in Lakewood. Live music, crafts, vendors and a children's play area will be at the park. Some proceeds will benefit Sylvia's Children. For more information, call 732-901-7000, ext. 120. 

5. Summerfest in the Park will take place at Community Park in Point Pleasant for from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. There will be hundreds of craft vendors, merchandise, live music and food.
