Leisure Village West to Hold Sandy Relief Telethon Thursday

Leisure Village West will host a Thursday afternoon Hurricane Sandy fundraiser on its neighborhood television station. 

The live broadcast will be available to those living in the community on station KLVW from 4 to 7 p.m. Residents are invited to Willow Hall to watch the event live and partake in refreshments. 

"While most of us were terribly inconvenienced, so many lost their homes, their belongings and everything they owned," reads a flyer for the event. "Many have donated items of immediate importance such as clothes, blankets and food already. We choose to raise money to help them get back on the road to recovery."

All proceeds will be split between Ocean County Hunger Relief and the Food Bank of Monmouth and Ocean Counties.
