March 22: Kindergarten Registration, Lakehurst BOE Meeting and Harlem Globetrotters

Five things to know today

Temperatures should reach the mid-50s today and skies should be partly sunny, according to the National Weather Service. Rain and even some snow and sleet may arrive after midnight.

Below are some things to consider today:

1. Kindergarten registration for Manchester schools opens today and continues until March 24. Parents are asked to register their child at the school they will attend. Information, including the required documentation and school phone numbers, is available online.

2. of the Ocean County Library has a computer class at 10 a.m. If you need help with word processing, register online or call 732-657-7600 to participate in Basic Word 2007.

3. The Lakehurst Board of Education is set to meet at Lakehurst Elementary School at 7:30 p.m. The regular meeting was rescheduled from its original March 15 date.

4. "Sea Nettles in the Barnegat Bay: The Stinging Truth" will be held from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the Ocean County College's Technology Building Lecture Hall. The symposium will teach attendees about jellyfish and what they can do to help. Seating is limited. Call 732-255-0472 to RSVP.

5. The Harlem Globetrotters will be at the Poland Spring Arena at Toms River High School North at 7 p.m. Ticket information is available online.
