1. Souper Bowl 2011 will be held at Manchester Township High School at 5 p.m. Attendees can sample soup creations from local teams while supporting the National Kidney Foundation and the Ocean and Monmouth County Food Banks. Tickets are $6, or $5 with a non-perishable food item. Children under 12 are admitted free.

2. The Lakehurst/Manchester and Beachwood/Berkeley Rotary Clubs are teaming up for a , 5 p.m. to 9 p.m., at the Manchester fire house on Commonwealth Boulevard. Proceeds will benefit both clubs as they fund community and international projects, including scholarships for Manchester Township High School seniors. 4. The County Connection will hold free stroke screenings beginning at 9:30 a.m. at its Ocean County Mall office. Call 732-288-7777 to make your appointment.
5. The Robert J. Novins Planetarium at the Ocean County College has a new program. Exploring the Spring Sky will be shown at 7 p.m., followed by Bad Astronomy: Myths and Misconceptions at 8:15 p.m. Tickets for the shows are $10 for adults, $8 for seniors and $7 for children 12 and under and OCC students.
