After a cool week, it looks likes temperatures will slowly start to rise until reaching near 60 degrees on Saturday. Be sure to check our for the details.

Here's what's going on locally today:

1. The Manchester Township Council is scheduled to meet tonight at 6 p.m. at the municipal complex on Colonial Drive. Tonight's agenda is available online. The council will take a vote on an ordinance amending salaries, among other items.

2. A number of high school sports scrimmages are set for today. Home games include girls varsity softball vs. Jackson Memorial at 3:45 p.m. and girls junior varsity tennis, also against Jackson Memorial, at 3:30 p.m.

3. Kindergarten registration opens today for Lakehurst Elementary School. Call the school at 732-657-5741 for more information.
