Tuesday, May 31

  • Manchester's Municipal Alliance is scheduled to meet at 7 p.m. in the municipal complex's civic center. Volunteers are always welcome. Call 732-657-8121, ext. 3901 for more information.

Wednesday, June 1

  • The County Connection today will offer assistance with consumer issues. An Ocean County Consumer Affairs Department representative will help get answers from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the connection. Call 732-288-7777 for more information.
  • Movie theater ticket prices got you down? will screen "Little Fockers," the third in the series of Ben Stiller and Robert DeNiro comedies, at 2 p.m. and 6 p.m., free of charge. The PG-13 film runs 98 minutes.

Thursday, June 2

  • Manchester and students who want to participate in athletics next year can have a free physical completed between 2:30 p.m. and 5:30 p.m. Forms, which are available online, must be filled out prior to the exams held in the high school nurses office. More information is available by calling the athletic office at 732-657-8901. Physicals will also be offered on June 9.
  • A program on senior scams will be held by the Ocean County Department of Consumer Affairs at Manchester's branch of the Ocean County Library from 2 p.m. to 3 p.m. Call 732-657-7600 for more information.
  • graduates will be honored during the Senior Recognition Night at 7 p.m.

Friday, June 3

  • The Ocean County Mentoring Program would like adult volunteers to work with boys and girls ages 8 to 11. The program coordinator will be available to discuss the details at the County Connection in the Ocean County Mall from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
  • Manchester's Relay for Life will kick off at 4 p.m. at the township's football field with a Survivor Luncheon. Opening Ceremonies will be held at 5 p.m. Sponsors can still pledge their support for the overnight event by making a donation online, or by calling Sue Holland at 732-657-2121.

Satuday, June 4

  • "Rent," starring former American Idol contestant Justin Guarini, will be staged at the Surflight Theatre in Beach Haven at 8 p.m. For ticket information, call 609-492-9477.
  • The Jersey Shore Wine Festival will be held from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m. at FirstEnergy Park in Lakewood. Live music, crafts, vendors and a children's play area will be at the park. Some proceeds will benefit Sylvia's Children. For more information, call 732-901-7000, ext. 120.
