Five things to know today

Showers and perhaps a thunderstorm may roll through today, according to the National Weather Service. Watch out for fog if you're on the roads before 8 a.m.

1. The girls lacrosse team will face Manalapan High School for a 3:45 p.m. home game.

2. Learn basic internet skills at from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. The seminar will teach the fundamentals of using the internet, such as what the icons mean and how to navigate the internet. Call ahead at 732-657-7600.

3. in Whiting will host the "Am I Striving to Keep Learning?" breakfast seminar at 7:15 a.m. Bill Welte, the organization's president and CEO, will speak. Call 849-453-7942 for more information.
