Five things to know today

After a dreary Sunday, Monday isn't looking much better, as the National Weather Service is calling for showers and a possible thunderstorm after 2 p.m. Watch out for fog if you're on the roads before 8 a.m.

Here's what's going on around town today:

1. Manchester's Township Council will meet at 6 p.m. at the on Colonial Drive. The agenda is available online.

2.  of the Ocean County Library has a computer class at 10 a.m. If you need help with word processing, register online or call 732-657-7600 to participate in Basic Word 2007.

3.  From 5:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m., Workforce New Jersey's Christine Karaska will be at the County Connection's Ocean County Mall office with tips on how to land the right job. Bring your resume to the Connection's office located near JC Penny's. Call 732-288-7777 for more information.

4. The softball team will take on Red Bank Regional High school for an away game at 4 p.m.

5. St. George Church will host its Fourth Annual Food and Wine Tasting at the Berkeley Oceanfront Hotel in Asbury Park from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. Proceeds will benefit the Church Building Fund. For more information call 732-775-2777.
