Oct. 18: Voter Registration Deadline, Adopt-A-Shelf Training and Environmental Commission Meeting

Five things to know in and around Manchester today

1. Voters must register by today to vote in the Nov. 8 general election. Registration forms can be picked up at the County Connection in the Ocean County Mall. 

2. Manchester's Environmental Commission is scheduled to meet at 7 p.m. at the township's  on Colonial Drive.

3. Adopt-A-Shelf volunteer training will be held from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. at  of the Ocean County Library. Call 732-657-7600 for more information on the program and to register.

4. The Ocean County Office of Veterans Services and Workforce N.J.'s Veterans Assistance will be available to help vets from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. If you're a veteran in need of information about employment, health services and benefits, the County Connection in the Ocean County Mall may be of help. Call 732-288-7777 for more information.

5. Manchester Township Middle School students will have an early dismissal today for parent-teacher conferences.
