Oct. 19: Historic Halloween Tales, Manchester BOE Meeting and Senior Services

1. Manchester's  will meet at  at 7:30 p.m. for its September meeting.

2. Lakehurst's Historical Society will present "Murder, Ghosts and Mayhem" at the borough's community center on Center Street at 7 p.m. The event will feature tales of local murders and ghosts around Lakehurst, Manchester and Whiting. Call 732-279-3834 for more information.

3. The  boys and girls soccer teams will face Matawan Regional at 4 p.m. The boys will host their opponent at the Manchester/Lakehurst Soccer Association fields on Colonial Drive, while the girls will travel to Matawan. 

4. Ocean County Office of Senior Services representatives will be at the County Connection in the Ocean County Mall to help residents with their Medicare selections now that open enrollment has arrived. Call 732-288-7777 to make an appointment.

5. Quilt As You Go Squares will meet at the Long Beach Township municipal building from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. Call 609-978-1438 for more information.
