Team collected supplies for those at the Central Regional High School shelter

The Manchester Township High School Hawks football team collected supplies for those displaced by Hurricane Sandy and delivered them to Central Regional High School when the squads met there for a weekend match up.

Buses carried the goods, which ranged from bottled water, food and cleaning supplies, to the Berkeley Township school.

"It shows their team spirit, unity as a team and willingness to help others in their times of need," said Jill McCloud, a team mother who helped to organize the effort along with Kelley Rountree. "I think this is a great thing that the Hawks are doing."
