Sept. 28: Free Film Screening, Hawks Soccer and Painting Demonstration

Five things to know in and around Manchester today

1. "The Conspirator," a film about the assassination of Abraham Lincoln, will be shown as part of the Ocean County Library Feature Film Festival at 2 p.m. and 6 p.m. The PG-13 rated film runs 122 minutes.

2. The boys soccer team will host Lacey at 3:45 p.m. at the Lakehurst/Manchester Soccer Association fields on Colonial Drive.

3. The Lakehurst Historical Society will be open today from 12 p.m. to 3 p.m. House in the oldest Roman Catholic Church in Ocean County on 300 Center St. in Lakehurst, the society houses artifacts from the borough's rich history. 4. A Plein-Air oil painting demonstration will be held at the Ocean County Artists Guild in Island Heights from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. Call - 732-270-3111 for more information.
