Sept. 30: Hawks Football, Library Chess Club and Medication Management Program

Five things to know in and around Manchester today

1. The football team will host Lacey for a 7 p.m. game. Manchester's squad has a 2-1 record this season.

2. Players of all ages and skill levels are invited to attend the Chess Club at  beginning at 12 p.m. The library asks that participants bring their own boards. Call 732-657-7600 for more information.

3. A medication management program run by the Ocean County Health Department by a grant from the Office of Senior Services will cover how to properly manage a regimen. A question and answer session is part of the program. For more information, call 732-657-7600.

4. Island Beach State Park is offering a surf fishing clinic from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m.

5. The Women’s Council of Realtors of Ocean County is hosting a Bra’s for a Cause event at Latitudes on the River at 6 p.m. Proceeds benefit the American Cancer Society and the OCBOR Charitable Foundation. Admission is $10 in advance, $12 at the door.
