Sept. 6: Schools Reopen, Writer's Circle and Game Night

Five things to know in and around Manchester today

1. Manchester and Lakehurst schools are back in session today. 

2. The township's planning board will meet at 7 p.m. at the  on Colonial Drive.

3. The Writer's Circle will meet at  of the Ocean County Library from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. The group allows aspiring and accomplished writers to share tips and critique each other's works. Call 732-657-7600 for more information.

4. Game night at the library will begin at 6:30 p.m. Children in grades 7 through 12 can bring their own games or borrow some there. 

5. The Ocean County Office of Veterans Services and Workforce NJ's Veterans Assistance will be available to help vets from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. If you're a veteran who needs information on employment, health services and benefits, stop by the County Connection in the Ocean County Mall. Call 732-288-7777 for more information.
