Sunny Start To The Week

This week we will see a mixture of clouds and sun with several chances of precipitation

Last week, the country experienced a storm that produced 241 tornadoes over a span of three days, affecting 14 states. This storm system produced heavy rain and thunder in our area, but the tornadoes remained to the south.

This week, we will see a mixture of clouds and sun for the most part with a chance of precipitation on Tuesday and Saturday.

The week will begin with sunny skies and temperatures in the mid-60s. Clouds will build late in advance of a system that should approach our area by Tuesday and bring us some rain throughout the day.

The Global Forecast System model shows warmer temperatures for Wednesday, reaching the mid-70s with some light rain throughout the day. However, the North American Mesoscale model shows more of a sunny solution for Wednesday, with temperatures again approaching the mid-70s.

The remainder of the week will bring with it a mixture of sun and clouds with temperatures in the low-70s and 60s.

Clouds will thicken throughout the day on Saturday and bring the possibility of a thunderstorm later in the day.

Currently, we are several degrees above the average temperature for this time of year. Next week, this trend should continue with temperatures approaching the upper-70s several times throughout the week.
