Tell Us: What Would You Improve in Wall in 2013?

If you could make a New Year's resolution for the area, what would it be?

More than 45 percent of Americans make a resolution every year, according to statisticbrain.com. Some people vow to live a healthier lifestyle, others promise to spend more time with family, and many say they will try to save money.

As millions of Americans make resolutions to improve their lives, what could we do right here in Wall Township to make it an even better place to live?

Perhaps you would like to see specific improvements made to public spaces or the business corridors. Maybe your local wishes are more personal.

Regardless, what is on your Wall wish list?

I think the town could surely improve on keeping our streets clear of leaves and debris... They should also look into upgrading the little shopping center on Belmar Blvd and New Bedford Road, at least get the owners to have it painted to a brighter color which is not so depressing as it is now. I'm sure the small businesses would most definitely benefit from it.

So what was the excuse for not picking up the leaves two years ago when we got that huge snow storm after Christmas and it caused a major problem with plowing and flooding? The leaves sat there untuil April! It's Jan 2, the leaves should be gone. The storm was in October, how long are you going to use that excuse? How aboput skip a few garbage days and do the leaves?

The roads are horrible ! Where else do you see the centers of the roads lower then the sides and manholes sticking 6 to 8 inches higher then the road.In the Coast Star a year or two ago the committee said there was never an increase in monies to fix the roads in 18 years ! Not even a dollar a year.
