Weekend Planner: Autism Program, YMCA Youth Night and Philharmonic Performance

1. The Music with Friends: Musical Fun for Kids with Autism program will begin at 1 p.m. Saturday at of the Ocean County Library. Children under age 9 and their parents are welcome. More information is available by calling 732-657-7600.

2. Youth Night at the Ocean County YMCA, 1088 Whitty Road, begins at 5:30 p.m. Saturday. For more information on the program and fees, call 732-341-9622.

3. The Garden State Philharmonic Youth Orchestras will hold their winter concert Sunday at Toms River Intermediate School East at 3 p.m. About 100 students from 22 school will perform. Call 732-255-0460 for more information. 

4. In Saturday sports action, cheerleaders will host a competition at Manchester Township High School at 8 a.m., the boys indoor track team will compete in the New Balance Games at the 168th St. Armory in New York and the wrestling squad will compete at Ocean Township High School at 10 a.m.

5. Science Saturdays at the Long Beach Island Foundation of the Arts and Sciences, 120 Long Beach Blvd., presents The Energy Independence Project: 20/20 from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. For more information on the free program, call 609-494-1241.
