Weekend Planner: Chili Tasting, Mario Kart and Comedy Show

1. Lakehurst Historical Society's will be held at the borough's community center on Center Street from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. Saturday. Tickets cost $5. For more information, call Kathy Abrahamsen, event organizer and corresponding secretary of the Lakehurst Historical Society at 908-839-7388.

2. A Mario Kart video game tournament will be held for students in grades 5-8 beginning at 2 p.m. Saturday at of the Ocean County Library. For more information, call 732-657-7600.

3. Ocean County Vo-Tech programs will be on display at the County Connection in the Ocean County Mall Saturday. Students from the culinary program will give a demonstration and nursing students will take blood pressure readings. Information about the center's new Homeland Security program will also be available. 

4. Recuerdos de Espana, or Memories of Spain, will be held 2 p.m. Sunday at Ocean County College's Arts and Community Center. Call 732-255-0500 for more information on the Hispanic Heritage Month celebration. 

5. "Men are Dogs," a comedy show at the TRACO Theater on Washington Street in Toms River, will begin at 3 p.m. Sunday. For ticket information, call 732-228-7273.
