Weekend Planner: Winter Beach Blast, Silly Song Sing-Along and Matlosz Memorial

1. The Ocean County Parks Department will host its annual Winter Beach Blast in the center court of the Ocean County Mall on Saturday from 1 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. 

2. Children ages 4-8 are invited to Dale and Amy's Silly Songs Sing-Along at 11 a.m. Saturday at of the Ocean County Library. Call 732-657-7600 for more information. 

3. for fallen Lakewood police officer and Manchester resident Christopher Matlosz will begin at 7 p.m. Saturday at the Lakewood Police Department headquarters on Third Street. The ceremony will mark the year anniversary of the officer's death.

4. The Lakehurst Historical Society will be open Sunday from 12 p.m. to 3 p.m. House in the oldest Roman Catholic Church in Ocean County on 300 Center St. in Lakehurst, the society houses artifacts from the borough's rich history. 5. Sunday is "Pajama Night" at the Ocean County College's Robert J. Novins Planetarium, as storybooks will come to life during a 6 p.m. show. Call 732-255-0342 for ticket information.
